Hey Kidz,

Wow, QRD #55 & the sixth installment of our guitarist interview series.  The numbers are going up all the time.  I always have a blast working on these guitar issues because I’m a bit of a guitar geek.  Working on them makes me want to re-arrange my life so I can play guitar 20-40 hours a week & see if I can get to be a decent guitar player (instead of just a semi-effective one in Remora).  So if this is your first issue because you’re a fan of one of the particular guitarists, I hope you dig into the rest of the issue & maybe look through the hundreds of back interviews.  Anyway, here’s a list of this time’s interview subjects:
Mason Jones of Numinous Eye, Tone Volt, We've Come For What's Ours, & SubArachnoid Space
Chris Wade of Orlock, hose.got.cable, Groove., & The Wades
Corbie Hill of Alpha Cop, Where the Buffalo Roamed, & peripherals
Davy Curci of The Real Deal, The Acoustic Outlaws, & Gaining Merit
Matt Northrup
Xavier Dubois of Ultraphallus & Y.E.R.M.O.
Tony Sagger of DrugsDragons
Rich Bennett of Monocle, Rebecca Pronsky, & Mansions and Junipers
Jonas Munk of Causa Sui, Sun River, Jonas Munk, Manual, & Chicago Odense Ensemble
Matthew Eyles of Dutch Order
Francesco “fuzz” Brasini
Shawn Lawson Freeman of Beneath Wind and Waves & The Weak Knees
Jacques LaMore of The Projection
Curran Faris of Greenhouse & Warsaw
Sean Fewell of The Broken Sparrows
Ryan Scally of Orange Blossom Flyover
Shawn Steven of The Hague
Sophia Johnson of the Toy Hearts
Mick Barr of Orthrelm, Krallice, & Ocrilim
Joshua Heinrich of fornever, Black Wedding, Orangabelle 5, & Colder than Yesterday
Jim Walker of Tim and Jim & JVA
Jacob Peck of Symbolikas, & Cosmic Mystery Band of Unknown

In other news, lately I’ve been putting a lot of reviews up on Finally Checking It Out.  Also I’ve been doing something lately that I’d like to see some other folks doing.  I’ve come to realize that a lot of webzines (including this one) have real trouble selling ads & make their money from having Google Adsense run that pay per click, so what I’ve been doing lately whenever I read an article I like is click an ad to give them a nickel.  I don’t think it’s a huge inconvenience on my part to do something to help support things I like, especially if it doesn’t cost me money & only a second of time.  So if you want to try it out, go ahead & click an ad on the left here on QRD any time you read an article you like.  While I’m asking you to do things, why not post links up to anything you like on Facebook & Twitter?

Anyway, we’ll be having the new comics issue up in a couple weeks & then we’ll see exactly what’s going on from there as far as the next several issues.  I have a lot of plans for the future (the guest editor series, touring musician special, vocalist special, drummer special, ebook versions of QRD, etc.) & it’s just a matter of figuring out what ideas are the best way to spend my time…

Thanks for your interest & support, it means a lot to me.
