When I get to Aurora it’s not like I expected. I’ve walked through
the ruins of larger cities. The tallest building is only ten stories
tall. At the city gates there aren’t even any guards, I guess that
shows how many people are trying to get in & out.
The first thing I notice inside is the dust. The air all feels a
little dirty & gritty. All the people are dressed in rags &
it’s obvious that I’m too well dressed to be one of the citizens.
I’m realizing this just as someone wrestles me to the ground & hits
me in the head until I’m unconscious.
